Giana Sisters Dream Runners is all about four players getting
together, and racing through the level over and over again. Players can
get dropped off the screen, or take too many hits. There might be a
certain number of orbs that are hit for victory. Giana Sisters Dream
Runners was not very clear on terms of victory or loss. I won some
matches and I lost some. Once there is a winner then it restarts in the
level.
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Giana Sisters
Dream Runners on the Playstation 4. This downloadable only game clocks
in at 1.1 gigs before the update file was applied. There are multiple of
the unpleasant online modes in Giana Sisters Dream Runners. Families
will need a Playstation Plus/Xbox Live Gold account to play Giana
Sisters Dream Runners online (I do not think a special paid account is
needed to play this game online with the PC). There is also an offline
mode where the player competes against computer bots.
Giana Sisters Dream Runners contains numerous power ups players can
collect and use on the other players. There are also a variety of traps
and obstacles that will slow you down. If you are familiar with Giana
Sisters then you will know the general controls in Giana Sisters Dream
Runners. Certain things can be frustrating with smaller graphics though.
If you pay Sony that yearly fee for Playstation Plus then you might have
fun playing with others (or pay Microsoft for the Xbox Live Gold). All
of my online experiences have been bad so I avoid it. Plus everyone I
talk to tells me horror stories of how bad things are in online gaming.
Up to four family members and/or friends can get together and enjoy some
time in Giana Sisters Dream Runners. Please be aware Giana Sisters Dream
Runners can created real world arguments and strife.
Giana Sisters Dream Runners is a cool idea that came out way too online
heavy. There are enough different maps to keep families busy for a
couple of hours at the very least. The music in Giana Sisters Dream
Runners is upbeat, happy, and full of energy. If you are looking for a
multiplayer game and experience that involves beating the other runners
then take a look at Giana Sisters Dream Runners.
