High Heat Baseball 2000

As we continue down the rabbit hole here at Family Friendly Gaming, I can't help but smile about the amazing direction we have taken. High Heat Baseball 2000 on the Playstation and Personal Computer is a solid game that shows me where the franchise came from. Since this is an older game the graphics are not exactly that great. In fact the players are not very detailed, and the stands look horrible.

Families do get an amazing video intro, and numerous modes. The modes in High Heat Baseball 2000 are exhibition, family, quick play, season, playoffs, home run derby, options, and credits. The loading times are decent in High Heat Baseball 2000 too. I played this game on the original Playstation. In fact the loading time in High Heat Baseball 2000 is better than most games on the Wii U, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.

The D-pad controls can take some getting used to. Hitting is difficult in High Heat Baseball 2000. At times on pro difficulty level I questioned the collision detection. I enjoyed the sound bytes in High Heat Baseball 2000. I would not classify it as announcers giving the play by play in High Heat Baseball 2000 on the Playstation and Personal Computer. Still High Heat Baseball 2000 is a solid baseball game from that era.

The players are big in the batting box. It is easy to swap players in and out. It is also awesome to see all of thee older players. I remember watching many of them when I was younger. Some of them were amazing to see in person, and they made amazing plays throughout the year and playoffs. I am so happy this franchise stuck it out for so long, and had so many sequels.

High Heat Baseball 2000 was the first time this franchise made it to the Playstation. Obviously the transition was not awesome right off the bat. The High Heat Baseball franchise did get better as the years went on, and especially when it moved to the Playstation 2. We only have one game left in this franchise, and Family Friendly Gaming will look at purchasing it in the future. High Heat Baseball 2000 even lets you guess the pitch if you feel like it.
