Imagine Babyz
SCORE: 82
I saw Imagine Babyz on the Nintendo 3DS at a local retailer for under
ten dollars in the clearance end aisle cap. I thought for sure Family
Friendly Gaming had reviewed this hand held video game. To my surprise
the PR employees for Ubisoft completely failed Family Friendly Gaming
Universe. I checked with my hubby and he was all on board for doing the
right thing for our millions upon millions of readers.
Girls take on the role of a nanny in Imagine Babyz. We get to take care
of cute little babies. As we progress through the five chapters we see
the babies grow into toddlers. They range from six months to eighteen
months in this game. Which are great ages to take care of babies. I
loved that age range with my own children. I enjoyed seeing the babies
grow and develop in Imagine Babyz on the 3DS.
The parents are very interesting in Imagine Babyz too. They are a
diverse bunch from different countries, with different professions, and
personalities. Dancing Dots did a good job with them. The babies look
nice, and we do have to change dirty diapers. Some babies will have
rashes on their behinds which need to be treated. No genitals are shows
in Imagine Babyz.
Not only do the babies look cute in Imagine Babyz, they sound very
realistic. My heart went out to these digital versions of human babies
when they were sad. I also felt myself light up as they expressed true
joy and happiness. It was great to make them happy with the little mini
games include. The majority of the mini games are easy to use on the
Nintendo 3DS. The Peek-a-Boo game is the one exception. I found that
mini game to be nearly impossible.
The only other knock against Imagine Babyz is the length of game play.
Imagine Babyz is a really short game. If I had spent more than ten
dollars on Imagine Babyz on the Nintendo 3DS then I would have felt like
I was overcharged. I had fun playing Imagine Babyz. I hope Ubisoft
continues this franchise and does a better job of marketing it in the
future.
