Krinkle Krusher

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a preview code for Krinkle Krusher on the Playstation 4. Actually the code works on the Playstation 3, and Playstation Vita as well. It is a universal code as long as the same players account is being used. Which is very nice. So we spent all the time, and money to run a preview of Krinkle Krusher. Our understanding was the game was weeks out.

Come to find out, one week after we paid all the money to publish the preview, it was released to the public. Then the PR firm let us know we could review it. Made me wonder why we bothered spending all that money on the preview. Since the preview will still be active when the review goes online. I really hate it when other people waste my money. That is enough behind the scenes information.

Krinkle Krusher is a tower defense downloadable only video game. There is a magical system in Krinkle Krusher. The mage and his magic hand are what fight off the enemies. Plenty of references to other well known franchises are used in Krinkle Krusher. None of them made me laugh, but then I am a Bananas Comedy kind of a guy. The main lesson in Krinkle Krusher is to plan ahead. The enemies walk in set patterns. So quickly identify and placing lightning bolts, fire walls, and more in their path is required.

Krinkle Krusher is hard, especially when enemies walk at times, and run at others. Then they are impossible to hit when they get close to the wall. At times their patterns become unpredictable. The low amount of traps we can place in front of them compound the other game play problems with Krinkle Krusher. None of the issues we discovered in Krinkle Krusher were fixed in the final build. In fact the game did not even update after it went live to the public.

I also noticed some lag in terms of the attacks. Which led me to spamming a button and using it all up. BTW when you use up something you have to wait for it to recharge. Not helpful when they keep getting close. The music is nice, and the graphics are okay. I got tired of watching the enemies burn and fry in Krinkle Krusher. Since it takes multiple attacks to dispose of them, we get to keep seeing it.

Krinkle Krusher is too hard, too monotonous, and too frustrating. I expect universal versions of games is the wave of the future. Krinkle Krusher as a downloadable only video game does nothing to help the physical copy movement. I could see this game selling for ten dollars at local retailers.
