Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack

A review for Lego Dimensions (the starter pack) will be appearing in issue #103 of the Family Friendly Gaming e-magazine. Months later it will rotate onto the website in the Reviews section of the website. Since I am writing the review for Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack before that issue has gone public let me tell you that Lego Dimensions is a big disappointment to us here at Family Friendly Gaming.

Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack is shockingly small, little, and barely has anything. There is one Lego level, and then one world area. That one world area has three different time periods so the world level area has all kinds of changes throughout the three time periods. There are gold bricks to find and things that can only be done if you purchase even more characters.

Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack is selling for thirty dollars. I found it on sale for twenty dollars, and feel like Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack is a huge waste of money. We were done with it in an hour. We spent some more time researching Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack to make sure there was not something we missed.

I am very disappointed such little content was included in the Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack. We can drive the Delorean, and cruise around on the hoverboard. Marty McFly has a guitar and can break glass with it. I am stunned that Back to the Future did not receive the full Lego treatment. Fans have wanted Lego games based on the trilogy of movies for a long time now. Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack is a slap in the face.

The two vehicles can be upgraded to be more powerful. You will need to farm a lot of studs to do that though. The grass around the clock tower in 1985 is a good place to get some quick studs. The vehicles improve nicely, and can fly you to the tops of buildings. The Delorean is a bit cumbersome and controls like a wet noodle. The hover board controls better, but can not break things like grass.

Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack is only worth five to ten dollars in my professional opinion. There is not much content within Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack to keep families entertained. It winds up being an expensive lesson in the greed of these companies (that have too much money already). Wait for Lego Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack to come down in price, or just stick better Lego games.
