Want to know how I know I have a really good husband? He waited until
I had time to watch Love Finds You In Charm on DVD with me. I am so
thankful we received a reviewable copy of Love Finds You In Charm on
DVD. This romance movie is the kind of chick flicks we women really
enjoy. I know I certainly got into Love Finds You In Charm. Plus Love
Finds You In Charm is clean and wholesome.
At Family Friendly Gaming we constantly ask: "why couldn't they make
this movie or this game cleaner?" Love Finds You In Charm is proof that
a good, fun, and fresh movie can be made clean and wholesome. It is all
about Emma Miller. She is a young Amish girl with doubts about the man
that wants to marry her, and the life of the Amish. She secretly wants
what the world has.
Emma goes to help her cousin in Charm, Ohio. Her cousin has recently
become a widow, and could use some assistance. It gives Emma the
opportunity to explore her thoughts and find out about the technological
world of the English. Emma becomes friends with Kelly Bennett (a young
lady helping out at the library who is running from her own problems).
The Amish frown upon this friendship because it is seen as courting
temptation.
Noah is an Amish young man who helps out on the farm. Emma enjoys his
company and wisdom. That is until the worldly Andy (a wine and cheese
magazine writer) comes along offering Emma all kinds of temptation. Emma
must decide to stay with the Amish or to go with Andy and see the world.
I will not spoil the ending or her choice for you. I will say Emma sees
the good and the bad in our culture and society.
One of the best parts of Love Finds You In Charm is when Emma is talking
to her father about being different. Her fathers trust in God being in
control, and in charge no matter the outcome is very powerful. The
lessons he teaches in Love Finds You In Charm is better than the
majority of what is taught in four year universities. Love Finds You In
Charm costs a lot less too.
There are no bonus features or content in Love Finds You In Charm. I am
looking at airplanes flying overhead in a different light. Love Finds
You In Charm also gives me a newfound appreciation for the Amish. I just
wonder how they witness. How are they bringing the gospel to all of the
world as they stay holy and separate? Love Finds You In Charm gave me a
lot to think about.
