My Amusement Park

Since the video game industry continues to decline we are looking for good games for families in less conventional places. I recently came across My Amusement Park in the bargain bin for a very good price. Family Friendly Gaming purchased it, and I played it. My Amusement Park is a great game for kids. It is like a kids version of any kind of theme park building game. My Amusement Park is appropriately set for ages five to eight.

Adults will probably get bored with the bright and colorful graphics, happy music, and simplistic mini games. Kids are another story entirely. My Amusement Park does a wonderful job of accurately targeting the intended age range. There are even verbal instructions in My Amusement Park for the kids who are not able to read yet. Kids earn money (in game only) from the mini games.

What is money used for in My Amusement Park? It is used to build more attractions. The more attractions you have in your park the more mini games you can play. My personal favorite was the parking lot game. Yes I know there are flash games that are similar. My Amusement Park on the Nintendo DS looks better than flash games though. Plus My Amusement Park can be played completely offline since it supports the offline movement.

There are eight different mini games in My Amusement Park to keep kids engaged. A goal of My Amusement Park is to keep the customers happy. My Amusement Park has an underlying message of serving others. Whether you are building attractions, landscaping, rides, or more; you are constantly serving the customer. In a way My Amusement Park teaches think less of yourself and more of others. A lesson our selfish society could use in this day and age.

I had fun playing My Amusement Park on the Nintendo DS. This hand held game is a wonderful game for kids to practice memorization, trouble shooting, planning, and more. If you are looking for a good game for the younger members of your family on the Nintendo DS then look at My Amusement Park. I hope there are sequels to My Amusement Park in the coming years. It was my personal pleasure to play and review My Amusement Park.
