High Voltage Studios and Microsoft Game Studios made major strides
between NBA Inside Drive 2002, and NBA Inside Drive 2003. We like NBA
Inside Drive 2003 a whole lot better here at Family Friendly Gaming.
This original Xbox video game is a much better sports game representing
the game of basketball. The intro has a rap song that will be hit or
miss. I was okay with most of it.
The announcers have plenty of fun, and sometimes offensive comments to
make. They can insult you while you are trying your hardest. Not very
helpful to tell me it was a bad shot when the shot clock was going down
and I was out of time. After playing through a season in NBA Inside
Drive 2003 you can expect to hear many of the same comments. That can
get pretty old.
The game looks really good for that era as well. It is obvious to me
that High Voltage Studios and Microsoft Game Studios spent a lot of time
and money on the graphics. The players in NBA Inside Drive 2003 are huge
compared to so many other basketball video games from that era. I also
like how the courts look in NBA Inside Drive 2003 on the Xbox. The fans
look pretty plain in this sports game.
One thing about NBA Inside Drive 2003 that can be frustrating is
streaks. Teams go on hot and cold streaks. I missed slam dunks when my
team was on a cold streak. Those streaks can make NBA Inside Drive 2003
a frustrating game to play. It also teaches us to never let off the gas.
Never slow down, and never show any kind of mercy. I like to get a lead
and run the clock out. NBA Inside Drive 2003 does not support that
strategy.
The foul shooting system in NBA Inside Drive 2003 is great. I loved how
easy it was to use, and accurate. Too many basketball video games make
foul shooting nearly impossible. NBA Inside Drive 2003 is a fun sports
game families can enjoy. There are plenty of teams and modes to make NBA
Inside Drive 2003 a good value. I know I got my moneys worth out of NBA
Inside Drive 2003.
