Poly Bridge
SCORE: 75
Poly Bridge is a downloadable only physics puzzler on the Personal
Computer. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Poly
Bridge on Steam. This PC video game is relatively small in terms of disc
space at 150 megs. Which is neat to see in this day and age with so many
other companies taxing the Internet with massively large downloads.
Large video games also eat up disc space on hard drives quickly too.
Poly Bridge is hard. Do not have any illusions about that. There are a
specific number of roads and wood supports that can be used in each and
every level. What does that mean? It means Poly Bridge expects a
specific solution for each and every single level. Is it possible there
is more than one way to complete a level in Poly Bridge? I think there
may be because I came close trying different ideas.
Graphically Poly Bridge looks okay. It has a nice look to the levels.
Like looking inside a box, or at a Nintendo 3DS level without the
headache creating 3D turned on. That reminds me, I think Poly Bridge
would work well on the Nintendo 3DS. I could even see this game being
sold in the physical copy format in stores. Poly Bridge would also be a
great game for the Playstation Vita.
The music in Poly Bridge is so nice. It helped me relax when I wanted to
rage quit. That reminds me, Poly Bridge can make people angry.
Especially after setting all those roads, and supports only to just miss
it by a little bit. There is no real easy way to just wipe out one
support, or one road here and there. In fact stringing together roads
and supports can be annoying when it is working well. This guy kept
telling me too far, even though it looked like it reached just fine.
Poly Bridge will make family members think. If you want Poly Bridge to
be a bit easier turn the stress off. That way the stress will not break
the road and supports. I could only beat some levels with that turned
off. At times Poly Bridge felt ultra realistic. Other times I could not
figure out why road and/or supports broke in a certain spot. I like the
concept of a budget based on the materials used.
