Power Ping Pong

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Power Ping Pong on the iPhone and iPad. This hand held video game mixes Kung-Fu with Ping Pong. Power Ping Pong reminds me of Balls of Fury. The main difference is Balls of Fury was a comedy, and Power Ping Pong is much more serious. The sensei in Power Ping Pong is not blind like in the movie either.

When I first started playing Power Ping Pong I got dominated, schooled, and totally pawned. Then I found the trick to playing Power Ping Pong. Do not take your finger off the screen. If you do, it is really hard to swipe the paddle and make contact with the ping pong ball. Once I kept my finger on the screen, I was competitive in Power Ping Pong. So much so that I could actually win matches, and tournaments in the different game modes.

The graphics for Power Ping Pong are really good on the iPhone and iPad. There is some mild enticement to lust in at least one of the characters in this downloadable only hand held video game. There are special effects when power-ups are used that look great in Power Ping Pong. Please note there is a bar to build up those power-ups. The best way to build it up is to hit the colored circles on the table. They appear at a frequent rate.

I had fun playing Power Ping Pong. I think this game would make a nice port over to the Nintendo 3DS, and even the Playstation Vita. The one down side to Power Ping Pong is there are only twelve paddles and eight opponents. A little more depth would have been nice. There is online game play in Power Ping Pong if you are into that sort of a thing. I am not into it myself.

I hope to see sequels to Power Ping Pong in the near future. The theme for a ping pong game is good, and there is neat music. It was a pleasure for me to play and review Power Ping Pong on the iPhone and iPad. Power Ping Pong makes me think someone should do a Balls of Fury ping pong game if they have not already done so. If you like swiping and ping pong check out Power Ping Pong.
