Quadcopter Pilot Challenge

I like Quadcopter Pilot Challenge. This downloadable only home console indie video game on the Wii U simulates flying a four propeller helicopter. The majority of Quadcopter Pilot Challenge is flying through rings and popping balloons. Which is really neat, fun, and family friendly. There is a nice free fly roam area. Pro tip on that free fly roaming area - don't fly outside the range or your aircraft will crash.

All families that purchase and download Quadcopter Pilot Challenge should go through the tutorial first. Pressing up on the right stick moves the vehicle straight up. Pressing down on the right stick moves the vehicle straight down. Pressing the right stick to the right turns the vehicle to the right. Pressing the right stick to the left turns the vehicle to the left. All of that is really cool.

What about moving the vehicle forward and backward in Quadcopter Pilot Challenge? This is where the left stick on the Wii U Gamepad comes into play. Pressing it up moves the vehicle forward. Pressing it down moves it backwards. Pressing the left stick right on the Wii U Gamepad moves to the right. Finally pressing the left stick to the left moves to the left. All of this makes perfect sense.

The control issue in Quadcopter Pilot Challenge is height while moving forward, backward, left, and right. You lose height while moving. If you press up on the right stick and up on the left stick then you climb and move forward. The WMG wanted to move forward at a certain height. Which is really tricky to nearly impossible to do in Quadcopter Pilot Challenge on the Wii U. I wish the height remained consistently while moving forward and backward.

Graphically Quadcopter Pilot Challenge looks okay. This is an indie game, and it is on the Wii U. So the WMG's expectations are a bit lower than say a Microsoft game on the Xbox One, or a Sony game on the Playstation 4. Quadcopter Pilot Challenge looks decent and there are plenty of recognizable objects. The sounds are nice, and the explanations in Quadcopter Pilot Challenge are perfect.

Quadcopter Pilot Challenge contains plenty of interesting challenges. The camera likes to fight with me as I tried to go through the rings as fast as possible. Why go through the rings in Quadcopter Pilot Challenge as fast as possible? Because it earns challenge points. What do challenge points earn? Difficult challenges to play. Hardcore gamers may get into Quadcopter Pilot Challenge as long as they can adjust to the controls.
