RETSNOM
SCORE: 54
RETSNOM tells a well known kind of a story with a different kind of a
game play mechanic. Your daughter has been infected with a zombie virus
and you must enter a lab all done in mirrors. The interesting game play
mechanic is to swap the blocks around you. This moves a wall or floor to
a different area. Meaning you can walk over, swap them back and you are
now on the other side of that wall or floor.
RETSNOM is an indie game, and it shows with the graphics. The blocks in
RETSNOM look better than the humanoid characters. I did notice blood
when a zombie got me, or when I had to suicide my character. Yes RETSNOM
supports suicide. It is easy to get stuck in RETSNOM. To make matters
worse you have to collect the door pieces, and key to open the door.
RETSNOM does not let you get a piece, die, get the next piece, die, and
then get out of the level.
The music in RETSNOM is creepy. It set me on edge. Which is never good
when trying to figure out an annoying and very complex puzzle system.
RETSNOM is not for casual gamers. This downloadable only Steam game is
difficult. This Personal Computer game made me rage quit so many times.
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code. I would hate for
someone to pay for RETSNOM and get all angry at the game.
Players must beat one level in RETSNOM to progress to the next one. If
you get stuck then you have an Atari 2600 game staring back at you.
RETSNOM is an indie game that would fit well on the Wii U. I am shocked
Nintendo has not already announced it in one of their video
advertisements (Editor: Nintendo Direct Videos). Maybe after they read
this review. Since Nintendo is well known for stealing ideas from others
and not paying them what they owe them.
There are going to be sixty levels in RETSNOM in the final release. I
really wish RETSNOM would let us get one item, die, get the next one,
and then leave the level. Maybe that could be in a casual mode. The
Mirror Master concept in RETSNOM is cool at first. The PC Gamepad
controller support is awesome! I like the idea of trying to save a
child. Stealing from the lab is not as well received.
