I do like how Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001 has some neat stats that come up about the players when they come up to bat. Batting and pitching are pretty simple and easy to pick up in Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001.

I checked out the manual to figure out how to throw different pitches in Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001. Players need to press R2 or L2 to bring up the view of what the pitches are. This is also where you can see how fatigued your current pitcher is. This is not very intuitive in my opinion. I wish it was easier to figure out how to pitch. Fielders can feel a bit clunky with the D-pad too.
