SanctuaryRPG Black Edition

SanctuaryRPG Black Edition is a downloadable only retro role playing video game that can be played through the Steam portal. This game is retro in so many ways. It feels like playing an old text based Dungeons and Dragons video game. When Satanic activity was linked to D&D.

SanctuaryRPG Black Edition tries to be funny, but too many times it fell flat. Some gamers may get into the gutter humor. I wish SanctuaryRPG Black Edition had humor like on the Bananas Comedy show. Some of the adult only, and gross content turned me away from this game.

Graphically SanctuaryRPG Black Edition uses ASCII art. Not clear on what ASCII art is? It is the creating pictures with symbols found on the keyboard. This is done on top of the black background. The plus side is you will not need the most advanced video card to play SanctuaryRPG Black Edition on your Personal Computer.

Retro role playing gamers are given a variety of different choices in creating their characters. You will want to avoid making dying permanent when you first start playing SanctuaryRPG Black Edition. Why? Because SanctuaryRPG Black Edition starts hard and can get hard again at any point. Grinding is important in a game like this one.

Players are on the quest to stop an evil character bent on destroying everything and everyone. Obviously not the monsters since they are plentiful in SanctuaryRPG Black Edition. Ah game logic. No violence is seen in SanctuaryRPG Black Edition, it is described in words. A basic reading skill is required to play this game.

SanctuaryRPG Black Edition is one of the most retro role playing games this reviewer has ever played. It hearkens back to a time when gamers put in floppy discs to play. And the game would have multiple floppy discs to play through the entire thing. I miss floppy discs.
