The Adventures of Mr. Bobley

The Adventures of Mr. Bobley is the best derpy independent video game any of us have ever played here at Family Friendly Gaming. Players take on the role of a gentleman and it is up to the player to figure out how to get to the next area. Maybe you need to move a box over a fence and then jump on the box. Or maybe you need to move switches to open doors one floor beneath you.

The Adventures of Mr. Bobley did not impress me graphically. Nor did the derpy walking animations of my character. Things got better when I drove around vehicles. Yes you will drive in vehicles in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley. Certain puzzles require a vehicle to progress. Some of the puzzles in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley are really cool and inventive. I was always able to figure it out the puzzles quickly in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley.

The music in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley is nice when there is some music. At times I noticed the music vanished for a bit. Not sure why that happened. Then all that was left in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley was special effect sounds like jumping, or rolling into a ball. Those are the two main game play mechanics in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley on the Personal Computer (Steam).

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for The Adventures of Mr. Bobley on Steam. This game is not horrible. It does have some odd glitches like rolling right over and past the hole (to a pipe) and having to die. Or a vehicle spinning around on its side for no reason. Dying is easy in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley, and there is an achievement for dying one hundred times. The respawns are generally close.

The controls in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley are really hard to adapt to. Some things are done with the mouse and some are done with the keyboard. I could not find controller support in The Adventures of Mr. Bobley. Which is sad because this downloadable only video game could be so much better if it played on a controller. Certain parts of The Adventures of Mr. Bobley can be extremely frustrating thanks to the control scheme included.

The Adventures of Mr. Bobley is a family friendly video game. I found very little that could fit under offensive. You can fall too far and get a bone breaking sound. The Adventures of Mr. Bobley will tell you that you failed, and you will have to restart that area over again. The Adventures of Mr. Bobley would fit perfectly on the Wii U. Nintendo should jump all over getting The Adventures of Mr. Bobley ported over.
