The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind

I like The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind for one important reason. This downloadable only hand held video game is like the Rooms video games from the past. Players must shift rooms around, move the character around in the rooms and get to the exit. Of course The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind is not that simple. After all keys must be found. There are also puzzle pieces and pictures to find.

I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind on the Nintendo 3DS. Zooming in and out of the rooms is really easy to do. I also love blowing the trumpet to make invisible platforms appear. The narrator in The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind is a bit of a downer though. He does not want us to find out what all happened to us in the past.

Mental illness is a real and genuine problem in our world. I know demonic possession can be some of the cases. There are others who are just not right in the head. The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind brings the issue of mental illness to the video game industry. It is nice to see a video game company addressing an important issue that is real and genuine.

Rooms in The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind do not always line up properly. Part of the puzzling game play of The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind is finding which of them match. Sometimes we go up, or down. Other times we jump across platforms. Switches are important in The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind.

I hope to see more games like The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind in the future. This is the kind of a video game that deserves a physical copy release. There have not been enough games in the industry like Rooms in my opinion. Which is why I am happy to see The Delusions of Von Sottendorff and his Square Mind release on the Nintendo 3DS.
