Toukiden Kiwami
SCORE: 52
Koei Tecmo has been on a tear the last couple of years releasing
video games. Toukiden Kiwami is the most recent release to march its way
into Family Friendly Gaming Nation. Players take on the role of a
slayer. Their goal is to slay the massive demons that threaten the
world. The game play reminds me of Ragnarok Odyssey, and Monster Hunter
video games. There are differences sure, but they are in the same vein.
There are RPG elements found in Toukiden Kiwami. Adult members of the
family will spend more time destroying every demon they come across.
There are some scary looking ones in Toukiden Kiwami too. I had
nightmares from some of the evil, vile, and wicked things in this home
console and hand held video game. The download of Toukiden Kiwami clocks
in at 19.7 gigs. There is also a physical copy version of this game on
the PS4 and PS Vita.
There are plenty of gross images in Toukiden Kiwami. Death in Toukiden
Kiwami comes complete with dismemberment. Do not try to eat while
playing Toukiden Kiwami - if you do there may be a real world mess to
clean up. I could have done without all the blood and gore. Which makes
me wonder how Toukiden Kiwami earned a thirteen and older rating when
the macabre/morbid rating from the ESRB fits better.
Enticement to lust images are also a part of Toukiden Kiwami. Why? I
have absolutely no idea. It was spiritually draining to play and review
Toukiden Kiwami. There are a variety of comments on Toukiden Kiwami
condoning the use of alcohol. Even attempts to justify why someone
crawled into a bottle. Many of us in Family Friendly Gaming have been
discriminated against. We do not turn to alcohol. Instead we stand up to
those doing evil.
When players defeat giant demons they free the souls of the warriors
that were imprisoned. Those freed souls then enslave themselves to the
player granting them a variety of equippable abilities. Like other
similar games, we spend much of our time going on missions. The more I
played Toukiden Kiwami the more dull I became to real world violence. I
also noticed my patience decreased, and my anger fuse got shorter.
