Uncle Grandpa Good Mornin'
SCORE: 68
Uncle Grandpa Good Mornin' is a DVD that takes 132 minutes to watch.
Around the length of most movies. There are twelve episodes on this
disc. They are Brain Game, Moustache Cream, Nickname, Locked Out,
Mystery Noise, Bad Morning, Bezt Frends, Hide and Seek, The History of
Wrestling, Vacation, Aunt Grandma, and Grounded. Uncle Grandpa falls
somewhere between Adventure Time and The Regular Show in my estimation.
The characters in Uncle Grandpa Good Mornin' are weird. We have Uncle
Grandpa, Mr Gus, Pizza Steve, Belly Bag, and a Giant Realistic Flying
Tiger. The tiger shoots rainbows out its behind. Which fits under the
gross humor section. There is also instances of blood, death, and gore
in Uncle Grandpa Good Mornin'. The voices fit the oddity of this show -
meaning they are a bit weird too.
A couple of episodes of Uncle Grandpa Good Mornin' have a connection to
video games. In one two of the characters shrink themselves down and
connect into the brain of a kid. They play the kid as one would play a
video game. I wonder if that is social commentary on video games playing
us instead of us playing the video games? I am not sure how deep I
should take this Cartoon Network television show.
Like The Regular Show it takes a few episodes of Uncle Grandpa Good
Mornin' for the humor to sink in. Eventually the different scenarios
presented moments where viewers would laugh. I did in mid to later
episodes on the disc. Maybe those episodes are funnier. There are plenty
of shake your head moments too. Like when they find out who their secret
dates are. That was disturbing on so many levels.
At its core Uncle Grandpa Good Mornin' teaches some lessons. It has
Uncle Grandpa always trying to help others. Even when he is on vacation
and has been told to not help others. Some lessons in Uncle Grandpa Good
Mornin' are to not break into other people's houses, be honest, have
fun, use your imagination, and do not try to deceive others. I can see
why Uncle Grandpa Good Mornin' has its fanboys.
