I love the new Playstation 4 VR. Yes it can lead to accidents like
falling over a couch or a table if you walk too far away from the
machine. Yes we can tangle ourselves up in all of the cords. Yes we are
starting to look like Borg drones thanks to the Playstation 4 VR. Yes it
can give us headaches and make us sick to our tummies. With all of that
put on the table I still love the new Playstation 4 VR. This is
officially the first Playstation 4 VR review to go online for Family
Friendly Gaming. So Ace Banana has some history behind its monkey
behind.
The concept of Ace Banana is very simple and easy to understand. These
evil, vile, and wicked monkeys are trying to steal our bananas. We use a
bow and arrow to shoot the monkeys to make them go away. Ace Banana is
on the comical side. We shoot plungers, fish, rocks, seahorses, sloths,
and more. There is other animal help in Ace Banana too. Like three
pandas will appear and roll over the monkeys to make them go away. By
the way we are actually playing a banana character.
Ace Banana contains comic mischief and cartoon violence. I am unclear
how the ESRB missed that in their less than thorough rating of Ace
Banana on the Playstation 4 VR. The ESRB wonders why families have not
trusted them for years. They miss all kinds of content, making
intelligent gamers ask why they have not been replaced as of yet. All of
the violence is done in a cartoon fashion.
Families will need two Playstation Move controllers and the Playstation
Eye on the Playstation 4 to play Ace Banana. We jump from spot to spot
in the map with one button and one motion. Then we hold one Playstation
Move controller in front, and pull (and press a button) the other one
back to unleash an arrow. Is this how Green Arrow feels? Or maybe this
is how Hawkeye feels.
When we go back to our home we can grow a seed into another banana
character. I had so much trouble getting the sunshine part of that to
work in Ace Banana. I also ran into small glitches here and there while
playing Ace Banana. I never got dizzy or sick playing Ace Banana. This
is a good way to do a VR game in my opinion. Ace Banana is an
interesting archery experience. Make sure you have enough free space
around you before playing Ace Banana.
