Alice Through The Looking Glass
SCORE: 85
Disney continues to take their classic animated movies and make live
action versions of them. Alice Through The Looking Glass is a sequel and
sort of a prequel to the live action Alice in Wonderland. Please note
neither of them completely follows the patterns of the books. Alice
Through The Looking Glass is more interesting and entertaining to me
than the book version.
We get time travel in Alice Through The Looking Glass. In fact we get
some interesting Doctor Who kind of moments in Alice Through The Looking
Glass. SPOILER ALERT! Time gets broken in Wonderland thanks to the usage
of time travel. We do learn how the Red Queen got such a big head. It
involves her and the White Queen when the two of them were children.
Alice Through The Looking Glass teaches some really important lessons.
Forgive others, tell the truth, believe in others, apologize, we can not
change the past, use your time well, give before you take, and more. I
learned quite a bit of wisdom in Alice Through The Looking Glass. Which
is cool since the original source material came from a drug induced haze
that makes us cringe to this day.
There is some peril, and darker areas in Alice Through The Looking
Glass. Alice steals an important time artifact that almost destroys that
entire fantasy world. She winds up only learning from the past. There is
plenty of humor in Alice Through The Looking Glass. Especially when the
character Time goes to the tea party. The jokes had us rolling here at
Family Friendly Gaming.
I like Alice Through The Looking Glass. There are plenty of funny
moments and great lessons for families to learn. There is also a lot of
bonus content in Alice Through The Looking Glass. Behind the Looking
Glass is one of my favorite bonus features on this Blu-ray + DVD +
Digital HD package. Scene Peelers is interesting if you like seeing
behind the scenes kind of content.
Some other bonus content worth mentioning in Alice Through The Looking
Glass is deleted scenes, audio commentary, A Stitch in Time Costuming
Wonderland, Characters of Underland, and a Music Video for Just Like
Fire. I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a reviewable copy
of Alice Through The Looking Glass on Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD. It was
a real treat to watch and review this movie.
