Aliens vs. Pinball
SCORE: 60
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for
Aliens vs. Pinball on the PSN (which includes Playstation 4, Playstation
3, and Playstation Vita). There are three tables in Aliens vs. Pinball.
They are Aliens Pinball, Alien vs Predator Pinball, and Alien Isolation
Pinball. All three of these are based off of horror films. The majority
of the films are rated 'R' for Restricted. Meaning eighteen and older
only.
So how did eighteen and older content get put into a video game for
Everyone ten and older only? Is this yet another ESRB scandal? The worst
content from these horror movies is not included in Aliens vs. Pinball.
At least I did not run into them while playing on the pinball tables.
There are sound bytes from the movies. Again I did not experience the
worst language while playing Aliens vs. Pinball.
Of the three tables I like Aliens Pinball the best. The design of the
table makes it easier to score points. Aliens Isolation Pinball is the
hardest table in Aliens vs. Pinball. Why is that? The bounce back rate
right up the middle can send the ball right back at the flippers before
you have time to react. Which means a lost ball. Players need to plan in
advance while playing that table.
I like the Alien vs Predator table the least in Aliens vs. Pinball.
Something about the table annoys me. Maybe the repetitive sound bytes,
or the objects that come at the flippers in a certain stage of that
table. I ran into a really cool mini game in Aliens Pinball. We drive a
vehicle down a hallway with debris around. I really enjoyed that in
Aliens vs. Pinball. I hope Zen Studios continues to make things like
that in their tables.
There are dark, and scary images in Aliens vs. Pinball. There are also
creepy sounds in Aliens vs. Pinball. I heard some language that will
offend some of our readers. The tables in Aliens vs. Pinball are
different, and have unique challenges. The pinball aspect of Aliens vs.
Pinball has been incorporated into all aspects of this game. The 3D
characters on top of the table can distract the player from the action
on the table.
