Chompy Chomp Chomp Party
SCORE: 76
It is cool that Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code
for Chompy Chomp Chomp Party on the Wii U. This downloadable only home
console video game can accomodate up to nine family members. The three
game modes in Chompy Chomp Chomp Party are Battle, Dash, and Keep The
Thing. As I write this review Chompy Chomp Chomp Party is selling for
$11.99.
Battle is a game where you have to pay attention to the color beneath
your chompy. You must eat that color. Which means you are chasing
another player. The thing to be aware of is you are being chased by
another character who is coming after the color of your chompy. There
are numerous levels to play in Chompy Chomp Chomp Party too. I like the
layout of certain levels in Chompy Chomp Chomp Party. Especially the
disco and island areas.
In Dash one player runs from zone to zone collecting points. The other
players are trying to get them, so they can do the same thing. Power ups
in Chompy Chomp Chomp Party make this game even more interesting. Not
everything you eat in Chompy Chomp Chomp Party is helpful. Some items
will mess your chompy up. I had to learn to identify the items visually
and make a quick decision.
Keep The Thing is where a little thing follows you. Other players will
try and chomp you so they thing will follow them. To me it is sort of
like playing keep away. Or the opposite of the kids game "IT." Families
can have a blast playing Chompy Chomp Chomp Party. The player with the
most points at the end of the round is the winner of that round. Please
note Chompy Chomp Chomp Party can lead to real world arguments.
When your character gets chomped in Chompy Chomp Chomp Party they melt
into an area of liquid with eyes and ears. I am a bit surprised there
are no ESRB descriptors for Chompy Chomp Chomp Party. I would think
Cartoon Violence, and Comic Mischief would fit this game. I am also
surprised Chompy Chomp Chomp Party did not earn the Everyone ten and
older rating. The blood, violence, and gore is at the level of
Squeeballs Party.
