Dear Esther Landmark Edition
SCORE: 56
Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Dear
Esther Landmark Edition on the Playstation 4. This digital download only
video game clocks in at 3.03 gigs. It is a remake of a remake of a Half
Life 2 mod. Some may even question if Dear Esther Landmark Edition is
actually a video game? Why would they do that? I will answer that in my
review coming up next.
We walk around an island in Dear Esther Landmark Edition. Sort of like
Soda Drinker Pro. We just don't drink the soda. Instead what we do in
Dear Esther Landmark Edition is listen to this gentleman monologue about
his dead wife. There are plenty of parts of Dear Esther Landmark Edition
left open for interpretation. One viewer of Dear Esther Landmark Edition
may come to one conclusion and another may come to a completely
different one.
Dear Esther Landmark Edition is a bit dark and depressing for me
personally. The graphics in Dear Esther Landmark Edition are obviously
dated. Like a generation or two back if you know what I mean. This did
start out as a Half Life 2 mod after all. The music in Dear Esther
Landmark Edition is creepy. I believe some of the dark subject matter in
Dear Esther Landmark Edition will limit its audience.
We are in the first person perspective in Dear Esther Landmark Edition.
We are forced along a certain path. I tried to skip ahead and Dear
Esther Landmark Edition would not let me. Dear Esther Landmark Edition
can be played with our without director commentary. Words do not appear
on the screen for the hearing impaired. I can't see my characters feet
in Dear Esther Landmark Edition which is a personal quibble.
I ran across blood in Dear Esther Landmark Edition. There is also
references to death, drunk drivers, and suicide. The ending of Dear
Esther Landmark Edition is perplexing. I believe there are odd religious
teachings being taught in it. There are references to stealing, praying,
and reading the Holy Bible as well. The colors in Dear Esther Landmark
Edition are bland. Every button in Dear Esther Landmark Edition is used
for zoom.
I will let you decide if Dear Esther Landmark Edition is a video game or
not. Is listening to someone talk while you walk around an area a video
game? Is Dear Esther Landmark Edition an interactive story? My personal
opinion is Dear Esther Landmark Edition is an experience and not a game.
I am not sure why all those gigs were needed for Dear Esther Landmark
Edition though. Graphically this game looks better than Soda Drinker
Pro.
