Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice
SCORE: 67
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download
code for Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice on the Wii U. This
downloadable only role playing video game picks up three years after the
last one. So we start off with the main character at level twenty-six. I
played the first one after it was reviewed by Family Friendly Gaming. So
I remember it. The retro graphics in Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of
Ice remind me of SNES games.
Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice has some content families will want
to be notified of. They are enticement to lust, violence, magic, ghosts,
false gods, thieves, assassins, pirates, alcohol use, bad language,
witches, and more. I also ran into some glitches in Dragon Fantasy The
Black Tome of Ice. Some of them can completely stop progression through
the story.
I enjoyed the music in Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice. I also
liked being able to capture monsters and have them fight for me. It gave
Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice a bit of a Pokemon feel to it. I
know some Dragon Quest games have done the same thing in the past as
well. In some regards Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice feels like a
Final Fantasy game.
Enemies in Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice can be seen before we
have to fight them in turn based battles. At a certain point in Dragon
Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice players can choose one of three paths. I
suppose gamers could replay the game from that point and use different
saves on different paths. I appreciate that Dragon Fantasy The Black
Tome of Ice was ported over to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
Battling other ships with cannons in Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of
Ice was one of the most interesting parts of the game. I had to go and
get ammo for the cannons to win the battles. There was also a timer on
those battles in Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice as well. I had to
be fast to win those battles. I never lost one of those battles so I do
not know what happens in that instance.
