Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Ethan Meteor
Hunter on the Xbox One. This digital download only video game can also
be found on the PS Vita, Playstation 3, and Personal Computer. Ethan
Meteor Hunter is just over one gig in terms of download size. I want
your family to know that in case you are on a limited Internet plan. I
am not aware of a physical copy version of Ethan Meteor Hunter for the
millions of gamers in the physical copy movement.
Ethan Meteor Hunter starts out with a little story. A neighbor dumps
their trash in the main character's yard. Obviously not treating the
neighbor as himself. The main character goes over there in anger and
they start to fight. The old cartoon fighting representation with a
cloud of dust is shown. The main character's house gets hit by a
meteorite. This kryptonite looking rock gives him the power of freezing
time and telekinesis.
The time stopping and telekinesis are very limited in Ethan Meteor
Hunter. We can only do it after collecting certain items. It would have
been great to use it whenever and wherever we wanted in the levels. That
would have led to some cool solutions to some of the puzzles in Ethan
Meteor Hunter. As it is there is usually one main way of solving the
problems. I did find a few areas where multiple solutions could be
applied.
When your rat character (the main character in Ethan Meteor Hunter) dies
he falls to pieces. He can also die in acid, and other places. Spikes
and churning blades are the biggest problems in Ethan Meteor Hunter. The
controls are deep and involved. It took me multiple attempts to figure
out how to use all of them. Some make more sense than others in my book.
A few were really tough to remember.
There are fifty levels in Ethan Meteor Hunter. That means families will
be kept busy for awhile. I enjoyed playing Ethan Meteor Hunter once I
could remember all of the controls. I had to do some tough things like
jump, freeze time, move an object, unfreeze time, and land on it. The
difficulty of Ethan Meteor Hunter puts it somewhere between casual
gamers and hardcore gamers.
