Fantastic 4
SCORE: 52
I recently purchased an used copy of Fantastic 4 on the Playstation
2. It was only $3.95. I hoped it would be good, and I hoped it would be
something we could do a video capture on. What I did not expect is how
dark this game is graphically. Fantastic 4 gave me a migraine every
single time I played it. I think it has something to do with the squint
worthy graphics.
Players take on one of the four members of the Fantastic 4 in this home
console beat them up video game. We trash all kinds of enemies in
Fantastic 4 that look the same. Fantastic 4 has violence, blood, gore,
and plenty of super powers. There is also enticement to lust in this
ho-hum video game. I do not understand why bad language was a part of
Fantastic 4. It makes a bad experience even worse.
The camera in Fantastic 4 is glitchy. I liked hearing the voices from
the movie. It may have just been sound bytes, but it was one of the best
parts of this game. I wish the animation and the voices matched but you
know. The level names in Fantastic 4 are very creatives. Like
Underground 1, and then Underground 2, and then Underground 3. It almost
put me to sleep.
Fantastic 4 tries to spice things up with different kinds of missions.
The biggest problem is they are short and generally boring. From time to
time we did different things. Two family members can spend time together
with Fantastic 4. There are events in Fantastic 4 from the movie, and
then others that were not from the movie. I did not mind the events not
from the movie. Fantastic 4 needed a lot of filler if you know what I
mean.
When I compare Fantastic 4 to other Activision super hero video games,
let me just say that Fantastic 4 is lacking. Too few characters, and
levels are way too small. The other games are so much better than this
one. I doubt we will video capture Fantastic 4 because I am worried it
would give viewers migraines like it gave me. Run far away from
Fantastic 4 on the PS2, PC, Gamecube, and Xbox.
