Fantastic 4
SCORE: 45
It is rare to see a brand new movie drop in more than half in price.
In fact I found Fantastic 4 selling for ten dollars. The Blu-ray + DVD
edition to boot. Which tells me sales of Fantastic 4 are abyssal. Which
does not surprise me since there has been so much controversy
surrounding this movie. Holly Weird decided to change the race of Johnny
Storm, and make Sue Storm his adopted sister. The race of Sue Storm's
father is also changed in this movie.
That issue is the tip of the iceberg of what is wrong with Fantastic 4.
They go to another dimension instead of out in space to get their
powers. Doom is all wrong, and so are the other characters in Fantastic
4. The storyline in this movie is disconnected, and too many things are
left unexplained. Like what was Reed Richards working on after he
escaped. Fantastic 4 felt pointless, and a quick cash in attempt.
Fantastic 4 will go down as one of the worst Marvel movies of all time.
Which is saying a lot if you ever saw any of their movies from the
1970s, and 1980s. Fantastic 4 likes to throw out the lie that our planet
is dying and we need resources from somewhere else. Holly Weird needs to
let that radical and fanatical zealot belief out of their movies. We
have progressed past that lie.
Fantastic 4 also contains blood, gore, death, bad language, offensive
images, and brutality. Which is a lot to throw into a movie that is only
100 minutes long. The final fight against Doom is horrible, and way too
short. Plus they kill him off. Like I said there is so much wrong with
this movie. Fantastic Four fans will be very disappointed with Fantastic
4. Too many back stories were changed for the worse.
The Fantastic Four movies from 2005, and 2007 are so much better than
this lame reboot attempt from 2015. Everyone associated with Fantastic 4
should be ashamed. Holly Weird messes things up yet again. There was no
reason to reboot so soon. Sue Storm is not the genius they decided to
make her in this movie. Nor is Reed Richards that reckless and clueless.
I wish one of the special features had addressed why they decided to
mangle so many things in Fantastic 4. Instead we get the out of touch,
and clueless content about how great they think they are, how wonderful
they think they are, and how their movie is the most amazing ever. See
why I say they are out of touch and clueless? I tried to think of one
positive from Fantastic 4. It exposes how out of touch Holly Weird is.
