Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing
SCORE: 60
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for Grand
Prix Rock 'N Racing on the Wii U. This is the strangest racing game I
ever have played. At first I thought it would be like RC PRO-AM, or
Micro Machines. Once the first race started I knew Grand Prix Rock 'N
Racing was vastly different. First off it takes forever to get the
vehicle started. The slow start was like walking through a swamp.
The same slow start happens after getting too close to a wall in Grand
Prix Rock 'N Racing. I crashed a lot in Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing at
first. I learned that it is very important to brake, and apply upgrades
to the car. In fact the more I played Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing the
better I got. Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing moved from a completely
miserable experience to a bearable one.
Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing is still a hard game. There are twists and
turns in this game that put my skills to the test. Grand Prix Rock 'N
Racing also has ten other racers on the track. They can knock you around
on the track too. Which was one of the lamest experiences I have ever
experienced in a racing game. The graphics in Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing
are adequate.
I like the music and the sounds in Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing. There is
Championship, Time Trial, Multiplayer, and settings in Grand Prix Rock
'N Racing. I found ten tracks while playing Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing on
the Wii U. The controls take some serious adjustments. At least for me.
I had all kinds of trouble adapting to them on the Wii U. I learned that
going too fast sends me into a wall.
The more I upgraded the car the better I got in Grand Prix Rock 'N
Racing. I invested my token points in Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing early on
onto Acceleration since it is one of the toughest parts of this game.
Expect to lose mercilessly in Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing at first. The
multiplayer puts each family member at the same disadvantage and is
better than the Championship mode in my opinion.
I like the look of Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing on the Wii U. I wish it had
the same game play mechanics as say Micro Machines. I felt horrible
coming out of the gate so slow so often. It was cringe worthy if you
know what I mean. I hope to see sequels to Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing in
the future. It was a real experience to play and review Grand Prix Rock
'N Racing on the Wii U.
