Industry Giant 2
SCORE: 71
A digital downloadable code for Industry Giant 2 on the Playstation 4
was bestowed upon Family Friendly Gaming. This strategy game can also be
found on the Xbox One, and Personal Computer (PC). Family Friendly
Gaming previously reviewed Industry Giant 2 on the PC. It is great to
see this franchise make the leap onto the home consoles. Industry Giant
2 is a game history buffs will get into.
Industry Giant 2 teaches the basic economics of industry. Want to make
money? Then you need some kind of resource, plant, and then store. Take
forestry for example. Need to cut the trees, process the wood, and then
sell it at a furniture store. Transportation is another key component
that Industry Giant 2 teaches us. We get to build train depots, tracks,
and repair shops in Industry Giant 2. Then we can purchase a train.
The music in Industry Giant 2 is exceptional. Especially when I had some
issues learning how to play this strategy video game. Industry Giant 2
does contain a tutorial. The tutorial was mildly helpful in my opinion.
I went into it to figure out how to rotate a farm around. I tried the
square button so I am not sure what the problem is. Industry Giant 2 can
be a bit finicky on when certain things can be done.
Industry Giant 2 has a zoom in and a zoom out. The graphics get a bit
better when we zoom in. There is also a mini map in Industry Giant 2. At
one point I was moving that mini map around. Not sure how I ended up
doing it. I loved seeing the animals, and birds in Industry Giant 2.
They were on the small side. Like the text in Industry Giant 2. I had to
sit right up in front of the TV screen to read the text.
Industry Giant 2 is currently selling for $39.99 on the Playstation 4.
In my opinion that is way too high. I could see that price for a
physical copy of Industry Giant 2 at retail. But not in the disposable
digital download format. Industry Giant 2 has an Endless mode, Campaign
mode, and the Tutorial. The Endless mode has twenty maps in it. $9.99
would be a much better price in my opinion. Especially when we consider
this is a port of a 2002 physical copy PC game.
