Jimmy Connors Tennis

I so wanted to like Jimmy Connors Tennis on the Atari Lynx. Problem is the graphics are so confusing that it is really hard to see the ball. Jimmy Connors Tennis does flash where the player should stand, but swinging was a guess due to the graphic issues. Jimmy Connors Tennis led to more frustration than fun for me. Which is a real shame.

The best feature in Jimmy Connors Tennis is the voices. From the menu screens to the score being said Jimmy Connors Tennis excels in sound bytes. Which is rare for this era, and on a hand held. I am very impressed with the voices in Jimmy Connors Tennis on the Atari Lynx.

There are multiple options, and modes in Jimmy Connors Tennis. It shows that there was quite a bit of thought and intelligent design put into this hand held video game. I wish there was a device that allowed me to play Jimmy Connors Tennis on a television. Some of the graphics issues may have been fixed.

Jimmy Connors Tennis is a solid tennis game with one fundamental flaw. I wish I could have changed the tennis ball color, and the size of the screen to make Jimmy Connors Tennis playable.
