LEGO Marvel’s Avengers

I appreciate Family Friendly Gaming being provided a reviewable copy of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers on the Playstation 4. In a surprising twist we were provided the 13.4 gig download. Which caused some stress, heartache, and lengthy amounts of patience. Plus we were right on the edge of having to pay Internet usage fines. I asked my dad to put LEGO Marvel’s Avengers down on our purchase wish list in the future since physical copies are so much better.

If you are into recent Marvel movies then you will take an interest in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. Levels in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers are based on both Avenger's movies, Captain America movies, Iron Man movies, and more. If you are familiar with those movies then you will recognize sound bytes, and the music. Characters in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers are also very recognizable.

The graphics in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers look good. In fact better than any previous Lego video game. There is a high level and a high degree of violence in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. I noticed a few strange glitches in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. In the open world it looks like no one is in the vehicles driving them. You can borrow their vehicles and someone will pop out of the vehicle. Then it shows your character in the vehicle.

There are plenty of characters, and numerous open world areas. I believe there is more open world in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers than Lego City Undercover. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers also gives families something to do in the open world. There are plenty of bricks to find, and plenty of missions to complete. There is also exploration. Plenty of characters in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers are available to unlock, and play with.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is a long game with plenty of unlockables. The violent content can get boring in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. If you run into a glitch like switches not working right, then I suggest starting the level over again and using that spot first. We ran into things not working right from time to time while playing LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. Thor is represented in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers as a god.

There are levels in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers where players must play as one of the bad guys. Like members of Hydra for example. We had fun playing LEGO Marvel’s Avengers on the Playstation 4. TT Games continues to grow these games with each release. Pretty soon we will have larger than a city area releases. Of course that will also grow the size of the game in terms of memory.
