Lego Dimensions Dr Who Level Pack
SCORE: 55
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming purchased a copy of Lego
Dimensions Dr Who Level Pack in early December. I have been watching
different Dr Who television shows on DVD for a couple of years now. The
Doctor is a very interesting character. I was totally geeking out about
a Lego version of Dr Who. Lego Dimensions Dr Who Level Pack delivers on
that, and like the other Lego Dimension Level Packs comes up short.
We get Dr Who (the Grumpy Cat one), with K-9, and the Tardis. The Tardis
is very helpful since it can fly. I know there are other Lego Dimension
vehicles that can fly. None as elegant as the spinning Tardis. I should
warn you that trying to shoot things with the Tardis can be a pain since
it keeps spinning while it is flying. It is not the best vehicle to
target things with.
We can regenerate The Doctor to get whichever one happens to be your
favorite. It is easy to tell which one is which in their Lego form. It
can take an hour to two hours to beat the level in Lego Dimensions Dr
Who Level Pack. Then there is a tiny little area to explore and play
around with. Lego Dimensions Dr Who Level Pack hits some of the big
enemies with the Darleks, Weeping Angels, and the Silence.
I wish TT Games and Warner Bros Interactive had fleshed Lego Dimensions
Dr Who Level Pack out into more than one level. It is cool to hop around
different time eras, make changes, and see how it impacts the other time
eras. This game play mechanic could have been fleshed out a whole lot
more. Lego Dimensions Dr Who Level Pack feels like a sample of a game
that should only cost five dollars.
The Doctor can interact with certain switches, and break certain
objects. The same goes for K-9. This robotic dog can destroy a variety
of bricks depending on his form. Families can change forms in Lego
Dimensions Dr Who Level Pack at their discretion. It is a bit of a pain
changing them, but possible. We had Lego Dimensions Dr Who Level Pack
crash on us a couple of times. Which was annoying since we lost all our
progress.
