Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens
SCORE: 70
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a copy of Lego Star Wars The
Force Awakens on the Playstation 4 in the traditional physical copy
format. Which gives me hope on the future of the video game industry.
Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens is based off the movie Star Wars The
Force Awakens. There are levels in Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens that
are not in the movie.
It took us just over six hours to beat the story mode in Lego Star Wars
The Force Awakens. There are twelve chapters in ten areas. We can go
back to five of those locations and play in an open world area. Each of
the levels can be replayed in Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens. This is
needed to reach the one hundred percent by taking in different
characters to unlock all of the secrets.
The big new thing in Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens is multiple
location builds. That means we have some bricks hopping around and we
press the 'O' button to build. We can build in more than one place.
Normally we have to build in one spot, use the newly created item, break
it, and build in the other spot. This adds a new interesting layer to
the puzzle mechanics in the Lego video games.
There are two kinds of shooter levels in Lego Star Wars The Force
Awakens. We crouch behind cover, pop up and shoot characters. We can
also shoot objects in that mode. Then there are the flying levels where
we shoot objects and ships. Plenty of laser fire, and explosions in Lego
Star Wars The Force Awakens. We also have the standard Lego characters
fighting one another in certain areas.
Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens contains a fair amount of humor as
well. The Storm Troopers talking about the shooting test is one of the
moments that stuck with me. It was even funnier because I know how bad
the Storm Troopers are in terms of hitting targets. Two family members
can play Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens. There is even the drop in and
drop out option which really helps.
We had fun playing Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens here at Family
Friendly Gaming. Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens crashed on us a few
times. We made sure to back up our save so the corruption problem did
not hammer us again as it has on other Lego games. Previous Lego Star
Wars video games were based off of three movies. I was worried Lego Star
Wars The Force Awakens would only be about a third of those older games.
Thankfully it was fleshed out to be longer than that.
