Little King's Story

I am surprised to see Little King's Story ported over to the Personal Computer. This Wii game from 2009 shows its age. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for Little King's Story on Steam. It lists the game at five gigs, however the download was lower. This seems to be a re-occurring theme with Steam lately. Numerous Family Friendly Gaming reviewers have noticed it.

Little King's Story is part Pikmin and part city builder. We get to be the king of a mythical land. That means training our people in jobs. There are twenty of them in Little King's Story. Hardcore gamers will go through seven chapters in Little King's Story. Hopefully they can stay awake in the boring cut scenes. If they can then they are stronger than I am. Much stronger if you know what I mean Vern.

Christians (the super majority of America) will find a variety of content in Little King's Story offensive. From blasphemy to mocking God, from violence, to adultery, from enticement to lust to sexual themes, and more. The attempts at humor will either tickle your funny bone or make you groan. I was in the groan category. Especially with port related things like the 'A' button from the Wii on certain screens.

To me the graphics in Little King's Story look the same as the Wii game. The same goes for the nice music. To me Little King's Story on Steam feels like a port from the Wii. Why was this done? Families can get a physical copy of Little King's Story on the Wii. Why give up all their consumer rights and privileges to play a digital version of Little King's Story on the PC?

The grinding problem in Little King's Story has not been fixed either. There can be a lack of direction in certain portions of Little King's Story that is very frustrating. I hated having to swap characters jobs and go day after day saving up for the next building. The pacing of Little King's Story is way too slow. I wish they would have cleaned up some of the bad content like alcohol, enticement to lust, and attacks on the Christian faith.
