Magical Brickout
SCORE: 58
Have you ever considered what a circular version of Break-Out would
look like? Magical Brickout gives us the answer to that very question.
In case you happened to have ever asked it. Magical Brickout is a
digital downloadable video game on Steam. Family Friendly Gaming was
sent a code for this Personal Computer video game. It even has a
storyline. One that is a bit odd.
The goal of Magical Brickout is to save the fairies from the Evil
Wizard. I am not sure if Magical Brickout is trying to support sexual
deviancy or not. I know there are some that will come to the conclusion.
There are some demonic looking creatures in some of the backgrounds and
one that comes up when we fail at a level. Expect to fail at Magical
Brickout - a lot.
Magical Brickout lets gamers change the controls from the mouse and
keyboard to a game controller. I tried both methods and found the same
problems. Rotating the orb around can be sluggish, and changing
directions can be a real problem if you want to do it quickly. I also
question the physics. If I rotate fast enough the ball should change
trajectory. In fact I should be able to move the ball from going down to
going up. Unfortunately the ball is not affected much by the rotations.
At least not in a way that helps the player. I was able to rotate the
ball from a pad off the screen - thus losing the ball.
The music in Magical Brickout is fantastic. I got into the jams while
failing the same levels over and over again. Magical Brickout is just
too hard for me. Probably too hard for the super majority of causal and
family gamers. So if you are a hardcore gamer then you might be one of
the few interested in playing Magical Brickout on the PC. It is sad to
see companies limit their audience like that.
Magic is a part of Magical Brickout. It is the name of the game. So
expect to run across that content. There are forty-eight levels in this
digital downloadable PC video game. I did not have fun playing Magical
Brickout. To me this game is too difficult, and the controls are too
sluggish. The graphics are meh or offensive. I am not sold on saving
fairies. The music is the only thing about Magical Brickout that I like.
