I am thankful NEOPICA provided Family Friendly Gaming a download code
for My Pets on the Nintendo 3DS. This hand held pets video game contains
four breeds of dogs, and four breeds of cats. Families can decide which
animal they want to have as their primary pet. There are sixteen mini
games to play in My Pets. The animals are very cute looking in My Pets.
Families will need to pay attention to a few factors in their animal.
They are Energy, Hunger, Thirst, Hygiene, Mood, Bond, and Ability. What
you do in My Pets will impact these factors. Take your dog for a walk
and you will lose energy, hunger, thirst, and hygiene for example. The
mood may go up. So you have to feed, water, and let the animal rest. You
will also have to clean them. The more they play around in things like
leaves the dirtier they will get.
My Pets has wonderful music. It was a pleasure and a joy for me to
listen to the soothing music while playing with the animals. My Pets is
an easy game to get into, and each mini game comes with a tutorial the
first time it is played. I loved collecting money and gifts in My Pets.
Dressing up the animal in My Pets is more fun than it sounds. I laughed
at some of the things the animals wore.
Families can get quite a bit of replay out of My Pets for the $24.99
price tag. I saw that price tag at first and immediately thought My Pets
was being released in the much sought after physical copy format. Sadly
my first impression was wrong. My Pets is a downloadable only hand held
video game on the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS. Please note the 3D
effects do not work on the Nintendo 2DS.
There are plenty of pet video games on the Nintendo eShop. My Pets looks
better than most of them with the large animals. My Pets feels like
Nintendogs + Cats to me. Walks are shorter in My Pets. On the other hand
My Pets contains different locations. If you are a fan of digital pet
video games then you should take a look at My Pets. The only thing I
found that might be offensive to some is the dog sitting down to go the
bathroom.
