I never played NEO TURF MASTERS on the old SNK NEO GEO home console.
I am pleased that DotEmu has brought it across to the mobile devices. I
played NEO TURF MASTERS on the iPad. This old arcade like golf game
screams quality. Not only that but NEO TURF MASTERS is also deep and
fun. The more I played NEO TURF MASTERS the more things I learned.
Graphically NEO TURF MASTERS looks better than most iOS video games.
Which is scary because this game came from so far in the past. DotEmu is
finding some wonderful games from the past and bringing them to modern
systems. NEO TURF MASTERS has multiple control schemes. The one touch
control scheme worked best for me. I love how I tap the bar for power,
and then for high/low. We can also move our golfer around in case we are
lined up to go right in the water.
I learned very quickly in NEO TURF MASTERS that I needed to pay
attention to how far away the hole was. Say the hole was seventy-three
feet away. My club would hit it one hundred feet at full power. So I
lowered the power when I tapped to make sure I do not go way over the
hole. There are six golfers to choose from, and four golf courses. It
can take multiple attempts to get through all of the holes in a course.
NEO TURF MASTERS can be played alone or with others. On top of that
there is an arcade mode and an infinite mode. Families can pick the
difficulty setting and then pick which golfer fits their personal
attributes. NEO TURF MASTERS gives families nine continues. Those are
only needed when you really mess up a hole - like a double bogey. Be
careful messing up shots because NEO TURF MASTERS assigns penalty points
for going in the water or out of bounds.
It can be really difficult and expensive to get physical copies of NEO
TURF MASTERS in this day and age. NEO TURF MASTERS on the iOS is selling
for $2.99. There are no in-app purchases in NEO TURF MASTERS. Everyone
here at Family Friendly Gaming had a blast playing NEO TURF MASTERS. I
hope you will check it out since it is a really fun hand held video game
that is family friendly.
