OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition
SCORE: 65
Family Friendly Gaming was provided three copies of OlliOlli Epic
Combo Edition on the Playstation 4. In the physical copy format too. Two
of the games have been given away, and we used the third one for this
review. OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition is within two of the movements
Family Friendly Gaming supports - physical copy, and indie. So what
could go wrong?
I will now go over the issues families can have with this game rated
thirteen and older only by the lenient ESRB. There is enticement to
lust, blood, violence, undead, gore, lack of attire, and more. The bad
words and alcohol are bleeped out (and blurred out) in the documentary
videos. There are two games in OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition. They are
OlliOlli and OlliOlli 2. There are also three making of documentaries,
the OlliOlli 2 Soundtrack, and a studio booklet.
OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition is a great example of how the gaming media
can make or break a game. Many in the worldly gaming media embraced and
loved OlliOlli. Which gave us OlliOlli 2, and finally OlliOlli Epic
Combo Edition. The mood and biases of the worldly gaming media are so
fickle. I am surprised they got into OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition
personally. Unless they really like the difficulty.
OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition is a very difficult game. Part of that comes
from the wonky controls. Flick up to jump, flick down to grind, and
press X to land on the ground. Your character is not capable of handling
himself on stairs, so avoid them at all costs. The controls are not
intuitive, and very tough to master. There are times in OlliOlli Epic
Combo Edition that I have no idea why my character did not jump. Or why
I hit something. One mistake in OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition and it is
level over.
The music in OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition is good. I liked listening to
it. The graphics get better between the first and the second one.
OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition does look better than many apps and indie
games I have played. That reminds me OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition feels
like it was a free app. A level based 2D runner with grinding sounds
like one of the repeat pay to play games. Right? Well OlliOlli Epic
Combo Edition is not, even though it may feel like it.
I applaud BadLand Games for getting OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition into the
physical copy format. I appreciate indie games making it to retail.
OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition is done right too. There are two games, and
extras included. I wish more gaming companies would follow this route.
OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition is also selling for thirty dollars brand
new. So it is half of the price of some other games on that system.
Expect a frustrating challenge from OlliOlli Epic Combo Edition.
