Optika

Family Friendly Gaming requested a reviewable copy of Optika. We got one. Optika is a digital downloadable PC game on Steam. Optika is an optical puzzle game. There are rays of light, prisms, and other devices to fill a circle with light. I love filling rooms with light personally. It is so cool to do that. There are one hundred and sixty levels in Optika. I checked the price and it is selling for $4.99 as of this moment.

Optika is really cool in the puzzle elements. There are so many different options available to the player. I must warn families though. Optika is tough. I mean there are levels that I thought I knew the right way and it did not work. It started to register as working and then the button to the next level went away. There are some levels I tried and tried to get right. That can make Optika frustrating. I did not find a hint system in Optika.

There is a tutorial in Optika. I recommend families start playing this Personal Computer video game right there. The music in Optika is exceptional. I liked listening to it while struggling to find the right solution to the optical puzzles. There are some issues with some of the characters in Optika. There is some lack of attire, enticement to lust, and gross looking characters.

The different color beams of light are really neat to see in Optika. They contrast the dark background perfectly. I wish some of those characters that can be offensive to some families had been left on the drawing board. I also wish Optika has some kind of a casual mode, or hint system to help out families that are stuck. Without it, then Optika is only for hardcore gamers.

I have played light prism games on other systems before. Optika has a good showing. I enjoyed playing Optika even though parts of it were too hard for me. If you have PC, and it can run Steam, then you might want to check out Optika. Just remember I did warn you about the difficulty and touchy nature of some of the levels. I hope to see more games like Optika in the future.
