Pitstop Challenge

I am grateful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Pitstop Challenge on Steam. This is a downloadable only game that weighs in at 2.4 gigs. It was also extremely glitchy when I first started playing. The lag was horrible. I had to drop the graphics all the way down. Which improved the lag and response time. The goal of Pitstop Challenge is to be the best pit stop crew you can be.

How is Pitstop Challenge played? First off your crew is standing around waiting inside while the race is going on. Then when you need to do a pit stop, you take your team outside and assign every single person to a job. Some jobs require the player tap on the crew member, then the tool, and then the place to do the work with the tool. I did this each and every pit stop.

I wish Pitstop Challenge had let me immediately assign characters to jobs and they do those jobs each and every single time. As it is, Pitstop Challenge makes players start out with a handicap. I never had enough time to assign everyone before the car got there. Which made the pit stop take longer than all of the computer characters. That meant my racer got farther and farther behind.

I found the smartest thing to do in Pitstop Challenge is to wait for the driver to force a pit stop. That way there were less pit stops. I also found the fast forward button on the Map screen. Pitstop Challenge can be extremely boring without using that fast forward button. Watching the weather and watching the tires degenerate is not exactly my idea of excitement.

The idea of Pitstop Challenge is really good. It is fun to see different jobs and how they do it. Pitstop Challenge could have been really good with just a few tweaks, and a few more tutorial messages. I am not clear what required so much memory in Pitstop Challenge. Pitstop Challenge looks okay, and it sounds okay. What happens inside the building does not always match what happens on the track. Like cars passing the pits, when compared to cars finishing a lap.
