Planet Coaster

I am so happy to see Planet Coaster released on the marketplace. Family Friendly Gaming was sent a digital downloadable code to play Planet Coaster on Steam. I do not know of a physical copy version of Planet Coaster at this time. I hope it gets one at some point. I would also like to see Planet Coaster port over to the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Planet Coaster looks great on the PC. This game allows families to play in career, sandbox, or challenge modes. Career can help the players learn how to play Planet Coaster. The same can be said for the sandbox. Sandbox is where you can play around and create whatever wonderful amusement ride park you want. Zooming in and out shows the graphical prowess of this digital video game.

I ran into lag and glitches while playing Planet Coaster. I tried to drop the visuals of this game to make it work better. Sadly it did not improve much for me. I also ran into glitches while playing Planet Coaster. I fell right below the ground, and clicked one place and wound up another place. I also watched people walk right through buildings in Planet Coaster on Steam.

I ran into light violence while playing Planet Coaster. Guns fire, and there are explosions in Planet Coaster in certain chapters. Players can set the prices in Planet Coaster. I noticed some of the default prices were really high. At least from my experiences in theme parks. I could be a bit out of touch though. Prices may have skyrocketed since I last went to one.

The controls can be touchy in Planet Coaster. Especially trying to place rides, and buildings. I ran into real issues putting things down in Planet Coaster. I saw there was enough room but the game would not let me put it there. Planet Coaster gives the player goals to achieve. I did not pay attention early on with the directions and could not find them again later. I also had issues connecting paths to other paths through trees.

I like Planet Coaster. It was not the most stable game play experience for me though. Some of that may have to do with the gaming PC specs. I hope Planet Coaster ports over to the consoles in the future. It would also be great to see Planet Coaster mature into the retail realm. Be aware that Planet Coaster is a massively large download. Hopefully your Internet usage plan can handle it.
