Puzzle Labyrinth
SCORE: 80
Puzzle Labyrinth is a brilliant kind of a video game. This
downloadable only hand held video game looks like a dungeon crawler.
What we do in Puzzle Labyrinth is nothing like a dungeon crawler though.
We use tools and objects in the levels to solve the puzzles. Players
learn how to play Puzzle Labyrinth in the first level. Then we are given
five keys to unlock additional levels. Each level the family member
beats, they get one more key.
There are sixty levels in Puzzle Labyrinth. This Nintendo 3DS digital
download is currently selling for $5.00. So that is almost a dollar per
ten levels. Some of the levels in Puzzle Labyrinth are easy and some get
pretty complex. There are hints along the walls in Puzzle Labyrinth. I
always understood what Puzzle Labyrinth expected of me. Doing it was
another matter altogether.
There are some quirks in this video game rated everyone ten and older
only. The first is some of the attire of some of the characters. Some of
them are also referenced in strange ways like a sexy cupid. I am not
going to get into my personal opinions on that. I provide all ya'll the
information and ya'll can make your own determination. I never got dizzy
in the first person styled graphics in Puzzle Labyrinth.
I enjoyed my time with Puzzle Labyrinth. In some ways this 3DS game
reminds me of apps on the iOS platforms. The touch screen controls
reinforce that opinion. We can also use buttons to look and flee in
Puzzle Labyrinth. I learned quickly that if I wanted to use an item in
Puzzle Labyrinth I had to tap it. Players are able to carry five items
at once in this thought provoking video game.
Puzzle Labyrinth has music that helped me focus on the puzzles. I love
how Puzzle Labyrinth makes sure there are plenty of clues. I wish more
puzzle games did this. Some of us are not smart enough to solve these
puzzles, so the clues really help. I also like having extra keys to skip
levels. I also appreciate being able to pick any of the levels within a
twenty level range. Like being able to pick from any of the first twenty
levels.
Puzzle Labyrinth is a sleeper hit that I hope gamers find. It is not
mind numbingly difficult. On the other hand Puzzle Labyrinth is
challenging enough that no one will immediately breeze through all sixty
levels. I hope to see more games like Puzzle Labyrinth in the future.
The only other franchise that is remotely similar to Puzzle Labyrinth is
the Interactive Parables franchise.
