Shapes Builder

I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Shapes Builder on the iOS platform. I played Shapes Builder on my iPad. This game also works on the iPhone. What kind of toddler game is Shapes Builder? It is a Tangram. Not educated into what a Tangram is? Well let me help. Shapes Builder is a shape game where shapes are moved onto the major shape.

When kids finishing moving all of the pieces (one at a time) into the outlines, then they trace a shape with a star shaped wand. Then it comes to life and shows what the image is. Like a camel, monkey, snowman, etc. There are a few images that parents may have to explain to their toddlers. Some of the ones that stood out to me were the genie coming out of a lamp, and the witch. I wish Jesus and some of the saints had been included in Shapes Builder.

Every single level has a golden fish. This fish will jump out of the water. Tap it to capture it. Kids get a trophy in the world level screen if they get all six golden fish characters. There are six islands in Shapes Builder. Each island has six levels in it. That equals thirty-six levels in Shapes Builder. This app costs $2.99 at this point in time. The point in time is when I wrote the review for Shapes Builder.

The graphics are bright and colorful in Shapes Builder. Things like snakes are happy and not scary in this downloadable only hand held app. The music is upbeat and happy in Shapes Builder. Kids really got into Shapes Builder. Adults will find this a pretty easy Tangram game to play. Kids will enjoy matching the right shapes to the right outline places. Kids have fun playing Shapes Builder. As an adult I did as well.

Shapes Builder is not the only (or first) Tangram game for pre-schoolers on the market. It is one of the better looking and sounding ones though. The multiple screens in Shapes Builder remind me of Nintendo 3DS and Playstation Vita hand held games. Meaning Shapes Builder is at the console quality. Which is something I say about few apps on the flooded iOS platform.
