Snoopy's Grand Adventure
SCORE: 78
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming purchased a copy of Snoopy's
Grand Adventure on the Nintendo 3DS. From what I have seen of the Wii U
version, the 3DS version is the same. We take Snoopy through multiple
levels in some fun worlds. The Red Baron levels are my personal
favorite. It is fun flying around clouds and avoiding the lightning.
Snoopy can shoot down down planes and balloons with his dog house. Or
you can be a civil minded gamer and avoid the violence.
After we complete the levels in each of the world in Snoopy's Grand
Adventure we get to face a boss. That is where we save one of the well
known members from the Peanuts cartoon and movie. I really enjoyed the
ending in Snoopy's Grand Adventure. I won't spoil it for you. It is a
nice reward for beating all of the levels in Snoopy's Grand Adventure on
the Nintendo 3DS.
Snoopy's Grand Adventure gives families a real good reason to replay.
There are jelly beans to collect and there are beagle scouts to save.
All of them can only be accessed if you have all of the costumes for
Snoopy. The costumes are what unlocks parts of the levels. Costumes are
found in certain spots of specific levels. I loved seeing what power
each of the suits had. The moon suit is my personal favorite. I love
those really high jumps.
Players can stomp on enemies. They get dizzy and fall down for a bit. It
is smart to move away from them before they wake up. If you take a hit
in Snoopy's Grand Adventure then your heart starts to float off the
screen. Get the heart while it is accessible and you will not lose any
health from the hit. This is a cool feature that families will
appreciate. I appreciate it.
The bosses in Snoopy's Grand Adventure are fun. Some have to be hit, and
there are other ones where we have to jump up the top. There is also a
runner boss in Snoopy's Grand Adventure. We need to stay ahead of him
and get to the end of the level. The fingers one was a bit odd at first.
I kept avoiding him until he broke apart. If you don't know what to do,
then avoid taking a hit. Sometimes that is all it takes.
The graphics can be a bit small on the Nintendo 3DS. They look okay
though. The sounds are classic sounds from Peanuts. Snoopy's Grand
Adventure has a good learning curve. It starts easy and gets convoluted
later on. I beat Snoopy's Grand Adventure in under six hours. The main
replay was finding the beagle scouts, and getting all the jelly beans.
