Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a Blu-ray + DVD +
Digital HD version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Disney brings
this movie out of the vault every so many years. I noticed some things
watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this time I did not notice last
time. What kinds of things? The most important was Snow White kneeling
and praying to God. She prayed for herself and for others.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs continues to age well. There are so many
wonderfully drawn scenes. I did not remember that Snow White and the
Seven Dwarfs was the first ever full length feature film in Hollywood.
We take that for granted in this day and age. Back then it was
referenced as Disney's Folly. Guess who got the last laugh out of that
one historically speaking.
I also noticed Grumpy is a very interesting character. He likes things
they way they were. We women have a habit of messing up how men have
things because we think we have a better way. In the case of Snow White
and the Seven Dwarfs, being clean is definitely important. I was aghast
to realize Snow White threatens the dwarves with no dinner if they do
not clean up. She is not their mother, so she really has no authority
over them. Especially when we consider she broke in, and was
trespassing.
The evil queen makes no sense to me in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Who cares if there is someone more beautiful than you according to a
magic mirror. You are still the queen, and have all the authority. Her
demise and ultimate death in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs comes from
envy. A totally wasted life on her part. She could have ignored the
mirror and gone and ruled her kingdom.
I enjoyed the bonus features on this 83 minute long movie. In Walt's
Words, and The Fairest Facts of Them All are my personally two favorite
bonus features in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The more times I
watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs the more interesting and different
things I glean from it. Kind of like reading the Holy Bible. I see new
things each time I read it.
