I am pleased to see Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital
download code for Stickman Super Athletics on the Nintendo 3DS. Even
though this is a track and field kind of a game, it plays more like a
musical rhythm game. In some ways that makes sense since there is a
certain rhythm to running, jumping, swimming and more. Stickman Super
Athletics is currently selling for $2.49.
Players are welcome to Stickman Super Athletics with an explanation that
refers to accuracy numerous times. Then players take their stickman
character to qualify. Numerous events are available for qualifying in
Stickman Super Athletics. Once you have successfully completed the
qualifying then players can play the seven events in Stickman Super
Athletics.
The seven events in Stickman Super Athletics are 100m, Long Jump, 100m
freestyle, 110m hurdles, 1km time trial, 400m, and 400m hurdles. If you
check the website on Stickman Super Athletics it references eight
events. The qualifying is being called the eighth event. To me it is not
really an event like the others since it contains some of the others.
That is my opinion.
The stick figures move and animate as we would expect them to. They are
stick figures after all. There are flags for numerous countries in
Stickman Super Athletics. Stickman Super Athletics asked if I wanted to
go online each time I played it. I denied that request each and every
single time. The music in Stickman Super Athletics is really neat to
listen to. The special effect sounds in Stickman Super Athletics are
fantastic.
The goal in each of the events is to win them. Once I beat one I was not
interested in playing it again. Some events in Stickman Super Athletics
are harder and longer than others. It takes a few tries but eventually
families should improve thanks to pattern recognition. I even beat a few
events the first time I tried them. Stickman Super Athletics works well
with a stylus. This would be a much harder game if we used our fingers
on a mobile device.
