Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I continue to work my way through my pile of products from late last year. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came up and I knew I had to get on it as soon as possible. This movie is the latest reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The storyline changes to make things more personal. April O'Neal has a personal connection to the turtles since her father experimented on them.

Shredder is the master of a CEO of a giant company who wants the mutagen. Why do they want the mutagen? So they can kill off a lot of New Yorkers, sweep in with the cure, and take over the city. Ambitious huh? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has the best downhill snow chase scene I have ever seen. It is filled with humor, peril, and amazing special effects.

The issues in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are violence, blood, enticement to lust (very mild), and more. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles disobey their master Splinter and go out to fight the Foot Clan. Eventually Splinter realizes these teenage ninjas are ready to go out there and be vigilantes. April protects their secret and earns their friendship. I felt bad for the poor cameraman in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who is used (and abused) over and over again.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has some interesting commentary on women being eye candy and wanting to report on important issues. I wish April O'Neal would have worked on government corruption, over taxation, and other really important issues to families in this day and age. I know, Holly Weird has problems focusing on important issues like that. They spend so much time in fantasy that they report on fake issues instead.

There was no bonus content in the DVD package Family Friendly Gaming purchased. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has funny moments, great music, and teaches some good lessons. What are those lessons? They are things like protect life, team work is important, believe in yourself, believe in others, don't suppress your emotions, and work for a better world. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is better than most super hero movies in terms of content.
