The Final Station
SCORE: 46
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for The
Final Station on the Personal Computer. This is one of those Steam
games. I do not know of a physical copy version of The Final Station.
The lenient ESRB has not rated The Final Station. I suspect if they did
it would earn the macabre and morbid seventeen and older rating. There
is certainly enough bad content to warrant such a rating.
The main difference from the Beta version is the inclusion of controller
support, and a prologue. Plus in the full version the entire game can be
played. That is if you can make it through each of the stations. The
Final Station is a tough video game. To me The Final Station is like a
blocky side scrolling 2D version of Resident Evil. Resident Evil is one
of my least favorite franchises. I have no idea how that ever got
popular.
The Final Station has blood, gore, death, tobacco, drugs, alcohol, 'R'
rated bad language, dark graphics, depressing locales, and more. It was
a spiritual drain to play such an evil based video game. The controls
can be a bit stiff in The Final Station. I found the mouse works good
for head shots which will save you bullets. Resources are very important
in The Final Station. Since they are so scarce.
The ugly monsters that attack us are a real pain in The Final Station.
We have to find a code in each station to be able to leave it. The Final
Station does not do the player any favors in where those are hidden.
Survivors can be found and put on the train. Then we have to keep them
alive. If they die on the train their dead bodies can be looted. Keeping
passengers alive, and the train running smoothly will grant larger
rewards than looting.
The Final Station taught me to search every nook and cranny. Items can
be used to craft. This is how I had to make bullets in The Final
Station. The download size of The Final Station is at the three hundred
meg mark. Some of the survivors are helpful, and some can be a real
pain. The Final Station is a dark and depressing video game world to
visit. Sure makes the problems in our world look small. I noticed plenty
of left wing radical liberal commentary in The Final Station too.
