The Shannara Chronicles Season One

There I was on Black Friday 2016 waiting in line to get one video game at Walmart. Why only one? Because they limited us to one per person. There were others with me of course so we could get multiple games that were on sale. While in line we were going by the movies and TV shows that were on sale. I saw The Shannara Chronicles Season One on DVD for seven dollars if memory serves.

I looked at The Shannara Chronicles Season One. It was not rated. It came from MTV. I know MTV is not very family friendly. In fact MTV has been accused of being a part of the war on men, war on Christians, and war on families. I had also read one of the Shannara books in the past. That book did not really impress me. I decided to give this show a chance. I fully expected this TV show to fail miserably. I hoped that I was wrong.

The issues families will have with The Shannara Chronicles Season One is blood, gore, violence, death, murder, lack of attire, nudity, magic, bad language, promotion of sexual deviancy, attacks on Christian morals/values, and more. They crammed a lot of bad stuff into 410 minutes. There are only ten episodes of The Shannara Chronicles Season One. A lot of this show feels rushed. It is hard to bond with characters when they die so frequently.

The Shannara Chronicles Season One teaches magic comes with a price. There are humans, elves, trolls, gnomes, orcs, and more in this show. Demons are released as this magical tree loses its power. SPOILER ALERT! An elf has to power this magical tree (Ellcrys) with their life. Which means the main character in The Shannara Chronicles Season One is gone at the end.

The Shannara Chronicles Season One also teaches us to trust no one. The constant betrayals and lack of honor in this TV show is insane. It started to become predictable. Who is holding who hostage swapped back and forth over and over again. The elves and the gnomes come to an understanding which is awesome. The Shannara Chronicles Season One starts with a message that the show is for mature audiences only. Do not let kids watch The Shannara Chronicles Season One.
