The Transformers The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition
SCORE: 70
Family Friendly Gaming was recently given a copy of The Transformers
The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition on DVD. This animated movie comes
stuffed with all kinds of bonus content. This 80s movie brings back fond
memories. I took my little brother to see The Transformers The Movie in
the theaters. Suffice to say some of the content in the movie upset him
greatly.
SPOILERS ALERT! Optimus Prime and Megatron were killed off in The
Transformers The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition. Megatron comes back at
Galvatron. There are other cool characters that were killed off in
Transformers The Movie 30th Anniversary Edition as well. Why? They had a
new toy line coming out and wanted to make room for all of the new
characters. In other words it was a sales strategy. All they cared about
was selling more new toys.
The issues families will have with The Transformers The Movie 30th
Anniversary is violence, bad language, insults, death, blood, and more.
The colors in The Transformers The Movie 30th Anniversary are fantastic.
There are numerous moments of humor in this movie as well. The music in
The Transformers The Movie 30th Anniversary is exceptional. I really
like the sound track in this movie.
I mentioned all of the bonus content right? There is Till All Are One A
Brand New Documentary, Commentary, Featurettes, Storyboards, Trailers,
TV Spots and more. The new documentary is really lacking in my personal
opinion. There are well known voices not represented in it. I understand
certain people have died off since The Transformers The Movie was
initially released.
The movie itself is eighty-five minutes long. The Decepticons have
conquered Cybertron. The Autobots are strong on the two moons, and
Earth. The Autobots are planning on taking back Cybertron so they need
to get energon from Earth. Unicron comes into play and he is a planet
that eats other planets. He fears the Autobot Matrix of Leadership since
it can destroy him.
One of the coolest features in The Transformers The Movie 30th
Anniversary is when they go over how they did a digital reformatting and
improvement of The Transformers The Movie. It was neat to see how they
enact that work. Most of the bonus features are about how great everyone
was, and how amazing they are. That seems to be what we get in this day
and age.
